KANOA Newsletter August 2021
Live an authentic life!
Authenticity, the beating heart of our project!
We have been living this family project for almost four years now, during which the whole family has eaten KA/NOA, breathed KA/NOA and slept KA/NOA – although not so much the latter. A project that keeps us on our toes and continues to move ahead despite obstacles. A project in which we handle everything, from design to production, digital, the retail network, sales, HR and more! We are fortunate to be able to rely on staff in our stores who are committed to the same values. Each in their own way, these authentic personalities uphold and convey our project on a daily basis, welcoming you in such a way that you feel at home.
We don't do everything right, we don't do everything well, but we do it with heartfelt sincerity and transparency. For you, thanks to you and with you!
And where better to take you, for this "authentic" newsletter, than to the heart of the Valais, a region particularly in the spotlight this month? Especially when accompanied by someone who makes our mouths water: our friend Pierre Crepaud, a Michelin-starred chef who personifies the art of authentic cooking. A true nature-lover who shares with us his secret, gourmet places. Follow the guide… and loosen your belt!

Fall / winter collection 2021/2022
Can't wait to see our new winter collection? Like our guest chef Pierre Crépaud, we work with seasonal products. You won't find coats in summer and shorts in winter. Each season has its own collection and let's not forget that summer ends on September 21^st! Our collection contains many "all seasons" pieces, which you can find in our boutiques. A few winter essentials will be introduced in mid-September, and new items will be rolled out throughout the fall. Come and see us regularly!
But to whet your appetite, here are a few glimpses of what's in the pipeline....

VALAIS, ENGRAVED ON MY HEART!
Valais holds a special place in our hearts. Not only because it is home to two of our boutiques in Crans-Montana and Verbier, but also because many of our friends live there. Among them is one who delights our tastebuds: Pierre Crepaud, a Michelin-starred chef and sporty epicurean who has made the Valais the place where he loves to get out and about as well as the setting in which he exercises his culinary talents. By sharing his photos and his favorite spots, he has agreed to accompany us in exploring this authentic, simple Valais and its terroir, just the way we like it. So let’s allow ourselves to be guided in discovering a less tourist-centered Valais, his very own Valais.

Perched on the hillside of Saillon (VS), this pop-up restaurant will take you on a real journey of the senses. Located in a natural setting in Nax, this intimate place enjoys an exceptional panorama over the Rhone valley and the Alps. The calm, the view, the cozy atmosphere: it's all there. Bertrand Bitz and his partner Iona have created a venue combining epicurean pleasures and their passion for music: A Fine food and music place. Join them in this corner of paradise, aptly named the Balcon du Ciel (Sky Balcony).
The Restobar is an emblematic Saint Martin establishment which was bought and completely renovated in 2015 by Bertrand Mayor and then placed in management before he personally took the reins in 2021. Supported by his wife Magali and his younger brother Fabrice, he has brought the place back to life.
Chef Miguel offers a small menu of suggestions that is regularly updated and features mainly local and seasonal produce.
This hut is located just above the Mayen 1842 and surrounded by Europe's largest larch trees. Featuring traditional dishes based on regional produce, a meal on the sun-drenched terrace overlooking the Rhone valley leaves an unforgettable memory.
